I'm not able to save appointments on my calendar -what happened?

I use Outlook all the time.
All of a sudden, my calendar stopped accepting new appointments.
And now I can't open existing appointment to see what additional text I put
in the Notes file.

Did I turn something off inadvertently??

Please, please, PLEASE, folks, always post your Outlook version!!!!

Is this Outlook 2003? If yes, first try runing detect and repair. If that
does not work, then try a new mail profile here: Control Panel->Mail
Icon->Show Profiles->Add. Do not copy your old profile - it is corrupt.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
