what do you intend to achieve with the web?
will you be selling your services?
will you be a selling product?
do you intend to reachout to existing clients?


pretty hard to give ideas based upon what you've stated so far.

See what rival sites are doing, and do better.
Type Party Planner in Google for ideas.
