IIS

Somehow ISS was not installed on my computer with Windows
2000 so I don't have a local host for ASP. The technition
from where I bought the machine (mail order) says ISS is
on the recovery disk. Windows 2000 is what, 5 CDs. My
recovery disk is 1??? He also suggests backing up the
computer and reimaging it? Does anyone have a better
idea? If not, is there a good way to backup and reimage?
Thanks

5 CDs?
Where did you hear that?
Even 2000 advanced server is only 1 CD with room to spare.
I actually have a CD that has 3 different versions of 2000 on it.
Re-imaging it will do nothing if it was not installed in the first place,
which it rarely if ever is.
"IF" IIS is on the recovery disk , depending on what kind of disk it is, you
would install IIS by going
to control panel and choosing add remove programs, then windows components.
If that does not work, you couuld browse the CD and see if you can find the
install files manually.
