ignored call

Can any one help
While on the net a box pops up saying you have just
ignored an incoming call and then it stops your internet
conection this can happen at any time while on the net i
have norton anti virus on the computer and it does not
detect any viruses can any one help me remove this from
my computer or have you the same problem.

You need a firewall. Either activate the in-built XP one, or do a google
search - there are quite a few free ones.
 
If you are an AOL user, this function can be disabled.. it is a 'connection
settings' problem..
 
It is more than likely if these are just text messages on
the screen you need to disable the "messenger" service
within windows. Start>control panel>admin tools>comp
management>services & apps>services. right click on
messenger service, properties. disable from starting on
bootup and stop running now. this should stop them.

it does indeed stop them - but the ports through which they are being
sent are still WIDE OPEN! A Firewall is the ONLY solution.
