"IF Statements in Microsoft Excel

What do you do if you have a formula you need to enter that is more than 9
"IF" statements!!!! It won't allow more than 9 "IF statements in Excel and
it is so frustrating!!

Usually, I use a separate table of info on a different sheet.

Then I use =vlookup() to return what I want.

But it depends on what you're doing.

Ok here is more info:

We are doing a rating schedule at work for our loans. I am trying to put
together a very nice looking presentation that will ask numerous questions
and return ratings. It will give you a number of questions, each one where
you can pick the answer from a drop-down list. When you pick your answer
frpm the list it returns a rating number. At the end of the document it will
calculate all the ratings, comparing it to other situations, and then giving
you a final rate of loan. So I need IF satatements to return values back.
It will only allow less than 9 if statements, I would need more.

Without more information it is difficult to say. But most (99%?) of the time,
a VLOOKUP function is much more manageable, extensible and supportable.
