if I import an Access file to Word, how do I avoid "cells"?

If I import an Access file to Word, how do I avoid "cells"? I'm trying to
layout the content of a database (two columns - first and last name) as a
Word file to lay out for a newspaper. I want to import those two columns but
avoid having them be in Cells. I just want editable text.

When you have the table in word, select the table and choose Tables, Convert
Table to Text. However, I am not sure whether this will mix your wording up
or not. Perhaps its worth a try.

Joey's suggestion should work like a charm!

For future reference, you may also find it useful to create a simple Report
in Access containing only the fields you need. The report can be used to
Sort, etc. Then use the Tools>Office Links feature to Publish It with
Microsoft Word. Especially useful since the Report Object can be saved in the
Access file and reused when ever necessary for current content.
