if i get sp1 on cd for xp home can it be reused ,

i have dial up and it slow , also my orginal xphome has
no sp1 on it it. after hd change boot transfer then
reinsatall xp on repair i have to load 40 up dates then
20 recomens , well in futer if i change mb and cpu ,
would like to update sp1 then rest later,
are the updates on cd?

Currently only SP1 is available on CD. And yes, it can be used multiple
times. For the other updates, you can download them directly from
www.microsoft.com/downloads and save them for future use as well.
Eventually, they'll be part of SP2 and will be available on CD as part of
that.
