IF Dates

Hi,

I have a column filled with dates. I need to write a formula to show if the
date in column a is after 12/31/06. If it is, then is shows the date of
column a otherwise a blank.

Column A Column B
2/1/2004 2/1/2004
7/25/2006 7/25/2006
12/31/2008
1/31/2005 1/31/2005

There are several ways to write this. One way:

=if(A1<date(2006,12,31), A1, "")

Note that this results in the column A date if it is __before__ 12/31/06,
not after. This is consistent with your example.

Another way to write this is:

=if(A1<datevalue("12/31/2006"), A1, "")
