If dates are in column, how do I analyze differences accross time.

Hi All:

I'm new to Access and have a question.

In Access, I have one column of dates values and a corresponding column of
data values. I would like to analyze changes in the data variable accross
time. So, for example, I would like to calculate the difference between the
data value on one date and its value on the previous date ... But this would
require that I create a one period lagged data series .... How do I do this
in Access?
