I have just started using winxpe as we want to use this for our DVR products, our partners over seas have provided a great deal of info about thier config, but I believe they have not given me a vital component which is making my build fail

Has anybody heard of Custom Environmemt Settings ?, its cat is Software ; System ; User Interface ; Shells ; Windows Shell ; ???????

Its not in my database and I have all the updates for the WINXP

if I build the image without it I get an error when fba run

I assume its to do with my missing component unless you guys have a better idea

it reads

fba.exe - Unable to locate componen

This applictaion has failed to start because newdev.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

Any help would be much appriciate

You can use filter option in TD to search for all components in your DB that
contain specified file.
Only component that contain newdev.dll file is "Add Hardware Control Panel"

Slobodan

Hi,

The newdev.dll is I guess called by the setupapi.dll and along with
the Add New Hardware Wizard make sure that its dependencies are also
met along with the component that includs the setupapi as well.

Peter,

Create a filter inTD. Click the funnel next to the filter list in TD (left
pane) and add a new filter, specify "Component contains the following file"
in the Filter Rules and double click "filelist" to type in the name. Click
OK, and then click apply filter. Search google, or the docs for more
information.

Peter,

Change your minimum visibility. In TD go to Tools>Options>Advanced and
change the Minimum Visibility to 100. The component your looking for is "C
Runtime Library" in Software>System>System Services>Application Support.

crtdll.dll is owned by the component "C Runtime Library"

It is visible in TD with visibility set to 200.
