When starting up Mircosoft internet explorer window does
not complely open up. I check task manager and see that
there are two iexplorer tasks running. I kill the oldest
task then it opens the new window. I need to do this
every time after I showdown IE before opening a new IE.

Larry,

To test with: First, disable the tool bands and Browser Helper Objects features:

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Internet Options.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
6. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this solves the problem, the problem is with a malware Browser Helper Object [BHO]. Use BHODemon and spot the malware BHO causing the problem. Get BHODaemon - disable unwanted browser helper plugins:

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com and update it:

1. Start Ad-Aware.
2. In the main screen, Click [Check for Updates] [Connect] and download the latest pattern file if available. and click Finish
3. Click Star | Next (System will now detect the spyware)
4. After the scan is finished, click "Next"
5. Select all the items (checkboxes)
NOTE: Right click on any object in the "Scan result" list and choose [Select all objects]"
6. Click Next and click OK to confirm spyware removal.
