iexplorer won't open

When I try to open internet explorer it won't open no
matter what shortcut on my desktop I try to click on.
 
I am having the same problem and have posted it, but have
not received any fixes. Are you using IE 6.0?
 
Hi,

When you click IE icon, windows may flash for a second and closes. or it
may show an Error-reporting dialog box. See the error report by clicking
"to see what
data this report contains". Maybe a trird party application got installed
in the background. Here's how to Disable third-party browser extensions in
Internet Explorer

Procedure :
1. Click Start, Run, and type inetcpl.cpl. [or control inetcpl.cpl]
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
4. Restart Internet Explorer.
