Hi,

When I tried to close the browser window, it gives an error message.
I'm using xp. The appcompat.txt file showed the following:

<EXE NAME="iexplore.exe" FILTER="GRABMI_FILTER_PRIVACY">
....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="hmmapi.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="iexplore.exe"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwconn.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwconn1.exe
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwconn2.exe"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwdl.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwhelp.dll
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwres.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwrmind.exe"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwtutor.exe
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\icwutil.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\inetwiz.exe"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\isignup.exe"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="Connection Wizard\trialoc.dll
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="MUI\0409\mscorier.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="PLUGINS\nppdf32.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="kernel32.dll"
.....
<MATCHING_FILE NAME="kernel32.dll"
.....

I've tried (1)sfc /scannow, (2)installed the C:\Windows\inf\ie.inf
file and (3)reinstalling the browser via add/remove But it does not
seem to solve this problem. I noticed that PLUGINS\nppdf32.dll is a
adobe acrobat plu-in version for netscape, but i don't even use
netscape. Should I try reinstalling adobe acrobat or does this problem
have to do with other microsoft issues?

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Regards,
Megan

Hi,

Thanks, I've actually used spydoctor and Trojan Scanner TD3 and came
up with nothing. I'll try the combo you recommended. Thanks!
