iexplore shutdown error

each time I close internet explore I get the following
error: The instruction at "0x01832008" referenced memory
at "0x01832008". The memory could not be "read" Click OK
to continue. The address is usually different each time. I
am running Windows XP with iexplore 6. This shutdown error
does not happen if I have multiple windows open and close
them - only shutting down the last one.

This isn't a virus.I've had the same problem over the last couple of
days.
It is a Microsoft error and there's a 'patch' for it at:

The trouble is that the patch takes about 4 minutes to download and
sometimes you can only get on the internet for a couple of
minutes.Keep at it though,it solves the problem as I found out after a
day of pulling my hair out!
