IEXPLORE.EXE

Hi,

IEXPLORE.EXE is using a great deal of memory (usually
around 30000 - 40000 K), is this normal?

This causes the CPU usage to go up to 100%

I read the downside of IE 6 here:

http://aroundcny.com/technofile/texts/bit041002.html

and would like to go back to IE 5.5, but 1) cannot find
5.5 on the net, does anyone know where I can find it;
2) Windows does not allow me to remove IE 6, by NOt
listing the item or by allow me to use w2kexcp.exe /u
successfully.

Can anyone help?

Regards,
Eric

Do a Google search for an app named "enoughIE." Go to the main site for it
and there is (I believe) ways to remove IE6 and get back to 5.5 which you
should be able to find available on other sites using a search. If your
version of Windows came with a version of IE less than 6, a reinstall of the
OS should get rid of it, at least it does on Win98.
