IEXPLORE.EXE Problems

When in Internet Explorer, IE hangs and displays the following pop-up message:

IEXPLORE.EXE - instruction at 0x7470b439 referenced memory at 0x7470b439.
The memory could not be read.

IE then closes.

Can anyone shend some light as to the cause and possible fixes?

99% chance it's spyware/adware.

Hi Dan,

thanks for the response. Followed your suggestion and ran spybot and
adaware and found a host of hits. Have also cleaned up temporary files. So
far so good. Will keep you posted.

thanks for the response. Have just tried fix suggested by Dan in previous
post to check for malware. So far so good. If it reoccurs will try your
suggested fix.
