iexplore.exe-Application Error

hi!
when working on Internet Explorer next message pops up and i'm obligated to close the explorer:

"iexplore.exe-Application Error
This instruction at '0x02cbf5cb' referenced memory at '0x00000000.' The memory could not be 'read.'
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on Cancel to debug the program"

i click OK and the explorer closes. and it's also working slowly.
how can i fix this problem? please help!!!!!!!

Have you tried reinstalling Internet Explorer and updating it?

after 5 minutes the message was the same except for the numbers:
'0x07f3f5a0'
'0x00000034'


help is really needed!!!!!!!!!!

i should uninstall IE and then install a new one? do i install it from microsoft windows xp page and is it free?
UPDATE-how do i update IE-i have never done it?!!!!! maybe from windows xp page too?!
