Iexplore.exe application error

When I log out of my orange website I receive a Iexplore.exe error. It reads
thus, "The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the
application at location 0x7c812a5b". When I close this box a second box comes
up with ERROR and states " Runtime error 217 at 0471F48E. By closing the
boxes twice they are removed from the screen and I can continue.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.
For Malwares download both these software:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

2- Run a test for the Memory and also try to swap them around and clear any
dust may be in your PC case:
To test your memory download memtest from here:
http://www.memtest86.com/

Please perform one step (1,2) at a time and see if that will help.
HTH.

Thanks very much for resolving the problem. It did not disappear when I
disabled non-verified add ons but did disappear after I un-checked the Enable
third party browser extensions under the advanced tab.
Again many thanks.
