IE7 feature...more meta-data capture

Sorry, I could not find the IE7 community. I feverently believe in labelling
files that I download from the internet with meta-data. All in the industry
are in agreement that meta-data is a must for files but the one is doing much
about it and its up to the user to enter most of it manually.

The internet is the main place where files could be tagged as they enter the
PC, I personally add the URL form each website I download a picture from,
this does take more time but it IS worth it.

As you can tell my concern is with pictures form the internet, that's
because there is an argument that the files contents themselves is infinately
more valuable to be data mined than a few tags in its properties. However
data/files like media i.e. pictures cannot be mined thisway, except on the
most basic of terms like face recognition (but this takes a sample and
training), the OS might recognise sunsets or animals, even lyrics from a song
- but when is that really going to happen

For example I am listening to "Deuxième Concert de Simphonies œuvre III n°2
en Fa majeur- Ouverture (Grave - Presto)" It has plenty of meta data but
without it do you think a computer could tell.

So I would like to see everything that is downloaded from the Internet
tagged with the URL, other things too but I'm not sure what.

What do you guys think?

I'm basically with you, but it's really up to the person who creates the
file to enter the metadata. I'm doing that now with my photos. But what
I'm struggling with right now is access to the metadata from with-in the
client side browser? The HTML IMG object (tag) doesn't support the access
to the metadata so far as I can tell.

The IE7 Community doesn't exist...because IE7 hasn't been released?

I would like to see options in the OS much like what IE has now, where I
hover over a picture and it gives me options. So I could visit the 'core'
(www.???.com) url or the actual path of the file, or place all my sunstes
together etc...

Anyway I heard that IE is to be done away with so how will this new way of
browsing the internet be better and will it capture meta-data. Does anyone
know anything about this new way of browsing.

All I know is that finantial details are held on the clients computer and
the data is shown on an app on the computer, but is that the best way forward?
