IE7 CRASHING Upon opening another window?

Friends ie crashes sasy iexplore.exe appver 7.05730.11 module unknown mod
ver 0.0.00 offset 0469e90
and sends an error report with no help afterwards,
happens when clicking on a link and opening another page, then (Xing)
closing out of the new window?
If you open 2 or 3 windows from clicking on the icon, no problem seemingly?
