IE6, XP SP2, Window size (real pop-up)

Keri

I understand the usage of the new popup blocker &
firewall settings. Several sites (including
microsoft.com) I click on certain links, allow the popup
to see the link. Once that window is open, I am unable
to change the size of the window.
www.gamesville.com & game is dominoes. I have played
hundreds of games pre SP2, but now it cuts off the bottom
1"+ of text. I am unable to change the window size
(maximizing is not an option). For instance, this window
to post a new message is a "popup". If there was more
information on this page near the bottom it would be cut
off, and would not be able to select send/cancel.
I have internet explorer
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158. Can anyone help
me? I have searched throughout microsoft.com to find the
answer already. Reminder, it is NOT just the games
site! I am unable to resize the window I'm currently in
also.
Thank you, Keri

Have you tried F11? (Fullscreen. Clone the window with Ctrl-N
if necessary.)

Did you look at their help page?

Is there an accessibility issue we should be aware of?
What is your display resolution?

It looks as if you are using the old version of the Microsoft Communities
web interface to newsgroups. AFAIK you should be able to use that
Ctrl-N,F11 option there too. Reply to this thread with a better description
of your difficulty with this specific window. Even better, try the new version
of the Microsoft Communities web interface and see if you have
problems with it. Its Reply window is resizable but there really isn't
much point to resizing it because the input window is implemented
by an internal frame which is fixed size but has scroll bars to allow your
post to expand.

Copy and paste the following URL to your Address bar.
(It must be copied as one continous string. If it does not appear
that way you can test each of its wrapped lines for contiguousness
by pressing End,CursorRight. If the cursor ends up at the second
character of the wrapped line the two pieces are contiguous.
If the cursor ends up at the beginning of the line the cursor moved
over a linebreak which must be deleted before copying the combined
string. Etc.)

Good luck

F11 and Ctrl-N have no effect
Did you look at their help page?
Yes, and I just sent them an email for help.

No accessibility issues, my resolution is 800x600 before and after the
games site suggested it

Thank you this group is MUCH better!
I have also adjusted font sizes etc. with no resolution to my problem. I
will wait for gamesville to respond to my email. It is not just their site
though that I have problems with. If the "pop-up" doesn't have a windows
scroll bar I can't see past the size of the windows screen. ON the old group
board it didn't have a scroll bar, but this new one does so I am able to see
everything in this "pop-up" (what windows determines this reply is). Thank
you again for trying to help. If anyone else can think of anything it would
be appreciated.

When I get an unresizeable pop-up without a scrollbar, I left click my mouse
on it and drag toward what I want to see, like all the way down the page and
what's missing comes up.

Smoker, I know exactly what you are talking about, and that doesn't work
either. I've done that before ... if you select text before the window
stops, and try to select more, it will reveal the information past the
original window size. doesn't work in this case. .. Keri C. smoker also, lol
