IE6 won't hold toolbar positions REPOST

Dee Jay

I have recently been having a problem with the locking of toolbars in IE6.
If I unlock, then re-arrange the toolbars to where I want them to be,
even if I don't re-lock, everything seems to stay put UNTIL I SHUT
DOWN & RESTART THE COMPUTER. Then the toolbars are back
to the default location & are locked again. WHAT?
I have run various third-party toolbar removal programs, run
spyware programs & removed the junk, I have unchecked the "allow
third party browser extensions" box in the advanced options area but to no
avail.
Please help!

Hi,

This is a known issue in regards to some HP/Compaq PC's. You should find the
following article:

http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm#Toolbarsave

helpful as it pertains on how to ensure that your custom settings in IE are
not undone after you restart.

Best regards,

Altrus
