IE6 with XP Pro SP2 applied

I am having issues with IE6 windows "Not Responding".
After several new windows have been opened, this can vary
from 5 to 20, IE6 hangs with eggtimer, invoke task
manager and results in program not responding. End now
selected and all occurances close.

Can anyone provide assistance.
