IE6 uninstall

Bill

I have a problem with OE6 freezing so I decided to
uninstall IE6 and OE6. I did this thru the control panel
but they both still exist. I tried deleting the files in
Windows Explorer but I get the message that the programs
are in use. They are definitely not in use. How can I
uninstall them and reinstall them?

You cannot uninstall them as they are an integral part of
the OS, however you should try to repair the IE6. Control
Panel> Add/Remove Programs> Change/Remove> repair. If
this still does not rectify your problem then you should
repair your files using your W2K CD

I also have a need to repair or uninstall/reinstall ie. On my
XP/Professional edition, ie always gives script errors for no reason, which
does not happen on other machines. But I dont see any Repair option under
Change/Remove (in control panel/add or remove programs)

Any help is appreciated.
