IE6 status bar - why does it disappear ?

Is there any reason that the status bar on my IE6 browser keeps getting
disabled? I have to constantly keep enabling it, and at some point, it will
disappear again. Is it a web page doing it or is it a cookie doing it?
Any other reason? Perhaps it is normal behavior?

Hi,
The usual solution for this is to enable the Status Bar in both Windows
Explorer and Internet Explorer.
