IE6 sluggish, high CPU use?

hi, I recently encountered a problem with my IE6. all of a sudden, browsing
the web is very sluggish, CPU use is jumping from 20% to 99%. I've tried
everything I've read in this newsgroup to no avail at fixing the problem.
I've tried Ad-aware, Spy-bot, etc. nothing! please help, I really appreciate
any help in regards to my problem. thanks.

neat trick............
close windows and stop programs first.
when this happens to my computer i just shutdown/restart.
then things are back to speed and cpu usage is back down.

You can click the CPU column in the active task list to
sort it in cpu usage order & then see which modules are
using CPU & then find which directory it lives in & maybe
have a look at the properties of the module in question.
I use a cordless logitech mouse & when the battery gets
low, before it tells me, the cpu usage starts to climb.
