IE6 shutting down error signature

Andrew

For a few weeks now internet explorer 6 has been shutting
down on most sites. The error signature is
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVer: 6.1.8293.0 Offset: 00015ca2

I have tried reinstalling IE6 from the microsoft download
site and CWShredder found nothing. Any suggestions
appreciated..

Next, if necessary, work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware,
Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:

If not caused by malware, consider disabling (for diagnostic purposes)
legitimate programs running in the background which might be interacting
with IE- security, antivirus, ad-blockers, toolbars & other add-ons, etc.
You may have to uninstall then reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.

Hope this helps,
Don
