IE6 rendering suddenly broken

Recently my copy of IE6 has started to have random difficulty rendering some
pages.

The most common example is that it will not render the middle column of a
Yahoo! News story page (the column with the story in it ;( ).

Also, I orginally tried to post this with Google Groups, but found that it
could not render the post topic form correctly.

The newsgroups input form box is cut in half horizontally, and there is no
message input box at all on the form.

It is happening with all kinds of sites.

Some software I recently installed includes Google Desktop and Google
Toolbar beta, Quickbooks 2005 Pro and the newest betas of VMWare Workstation
5 (although the browser I am having problems with is running on the Host,
not Guest, VMWare OS).

I am behind a workplace hardware firewall, running TrendMicro PC-Cillin,
SpyBot and Ad-Aware and none of them report problems on a full scan.

Machine is an Athlon 64 3400 with 1GB RAM running XP SP2 32-bit with all
latest updates.

Anyone else having this problem?

Update - uninstalling Google Desktop and Google Toolbar, and updating my
video driver - well, one of the three did the trick...

Glad it's fixed. I was just going to suggest clearing temp files and
updating Java Runtime and Macromedia Shockwave and Flash players. I use
Google Toolbar and never had a problem with it.
