IE6/Outlook Default Page Orientation Is Landscape

When printing from IE6/Outlook the default page orientation is always
landscape. When I set this to portrait it does not kepp the settings
for new pages. I have no problems with any other application besides IE
and Outlook. The orientation for the default printer is portrait so
this should not be the problem.

Jon,

My default printer is set to portrait mode. The default page
orientation for IE6 and Outlook still stays in landscape, though. So
how can this be solved?

Sorry that I don't have anything further to do to help on this issue. If
you've read through all the posts on Google Groups, this has been a problem
since IE 6 came out. IE 5.5 (and before, IIRC), stored this info in the
registry, but IE 6 does not and seems to rely on the settings from your
printer. A couple posters mentioned trying to add these entries to the
registry in IE 6 and they didn't work. The key in question:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\PageSetup

Only the header, footer and margin settings are there in IE 6.

Have you rebooted? Another thing to try would be to update or reinstall
your printer drivers to hopefully remake the connection between IE and your
printer's registry settings. I'm sorry that I cannot find any other
solution - even after scouring Google groups for pages on end.
