IE6 locks up while viewing pages

Hi All,
I have a problem that while viewing random pages, IE6
will suddenly stop reponding and I am unable to either
refresh the screen or close it out. The only way I can
get out of the situation is by logging off of XP and then
logging back in, or by completely shutting down and
restarting XP. There is no malware or viruses on my PC
which eliminates those two possibilities of the cause. I
have a feeling that it is either related to IE6 settings
or Video Card settings. I have restored the IE6 settings
back to the default settings but has not helped resolve
the problem. Any suggetsions? Thanks for the help.
