IE6 Icons Keep Corrupting

Since uninstalling IE7 on my PC has replaced the MHT & MHTML icons with the
IE6
'e'. I have repaired the Icons with HTMLIconFix (v1.0) for Windows XP from
http://windowsxp.mvps.org however after a few day they corrupt again.
Although it is easy to run the fix again I am finding it tiresome as it has
now become a regular event!
I will be grateful for any advice.
