IE6 client authentication

Hi all,
When a server accessing a client authenticated page through a
link
on a non-client authenticated page, IE throws the certificate pop-up
for client
authentication. On choosing a valid certificate and proceed on a
security alert,
the certificate pop-up comes again and the response was send only after
choosing
the same certificate. Why the certificate pop-up for client
authentication comes twice?
Is it a IE behaviour? Does anyone have any idea? Please let me know.

I need some more clarifications on this topic. The pages not hosts
IFRAMEs. SSL enabled server so both the pages are through a secure SSL
channel (https). The above said problem was not there when the
accessing client authenticated page and a linking non-client
authenticated page are on different ip's. It is specific on same ip.
Any idea?
