IE6 - Can't write an URL bar - Urgent, please

Hi there

I have a user who's IE6 hungs when he writes a uls at the url bar. He can
access to the site from favorites but can't if whe writes it automatically,
it doesn't work.
it's a XP SP2 english + MUI Spanish.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

In addition to Frank's suggestion, try turning off URL autocomplete - in two
places in IE:
1. Tools...Internet Options...Content tab, Autocomplete button, uncheck box
by Web Addresses
2. Tools...Internet Options...Advanced tab, Browsing section, uncheck box
by Use inline AutoComplete, click Apply, click Okay.

See if that helps. If so, then there's something we can do to fix this if
the user likes the Autocomplete feature.
