I use WXP and IE6. Mozilla works fine, but IE6 will only open secure sites. All non-secure sites get "cannot find server" and "page cannot be displayed" errors. Also, when I set my internet connection properties to "automatically detect settings" it keeps defaulting to "use a proxy server for this connection," 127.0.0.1:6711, which I believe is my own computer. Any help will be appreciated!

it is connecting back to your computer through the port
number 6711. My guess is that it is an internet firewall
service installed on the computer?
