IE6 Always minimized

If I launch IE, the home page appears minimized in the task
bar but I cannot bring it to the desktop; whenever I click
on the icon in the task bar, a copy of it appears to zoom
off to the right side of the monitor; if I click on it
again, it zooms back to the task bar. I am posting this
with Mozilla, which seems to be working normally, so I
don't suspect anything with the computer itself. There is
one thing I might mention,though, it seemes to have started
right after I had two monitors (two separate video cards)
hooked up, then went back to the one monitor; I checked the
system settings and it looks like the right video card(and
monitor) is now my primary display. Any ideas?
The OS is Windows xp Home.

The OS is Windows xp Home.

Open such a window.
Don't choose Maximize.
Close all other windows.
Right click the entry and choose Restore (if it isn't grayed out).
Right click its entry on the taskbar and choose Size.
Use the arrow keys to make it the size you want (or at least some of it is
on the screen).
You may have to use a right click on the taskbar an choose Move to get the
top onto the screen.
Close it that way, making sure that it is the last IE window closed.

Thanks for the response; I stumbled onto the
answer,though: I went back to the display settings and
switched the 1 and 2 monitor icons, then unticked the box
for extending this monitor to desktop; it is ok now-
thanks again
