ie6.0 auto updates question

just downloaded the service pack for ie6.0 and i must be going mad but ever
since then i can't view any geocities websites. i've asked other folks and
they can still see them...but i get a dns error yadaya. i tried system
restore but it says i haven't made changes...even if on the calendar it says
i installed the service pack,etc. not sure why i can use ie but not access
geocities sites...is this a holloween thing?

Two posts up from yours, a person cannot get to classmates.com. Only it is
more interesting; They have XP on 2 hard drives (same machine), and one of
the XP's can go there, but not the other....
