For some reason my IE stopped working out of no were....... WHen I tried to
install IE^ it says there is a newer vs., but when I go to control panel +-
programs there is nothing there. So when I go to install IE 7 and validate
it i get an error that says: ox80004005. I have a valid OS XPpro and have
validated in the past........ I just need to get my IE back online because
alot of my programs arent working now. Please help....

try this......

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

Launch activation manually:
%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /A

A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer.
Error Code: 0x80004005
NB: The same error number may occur during installation and/or updates
or
Try running the validation tool

or
Run: "sfc /scannow" command
Reboot

I did that and it say it's already activated. I then went to IE short cut
10.10.1.23 and I got the unable to connect screen. What do I do from here???
Should i try to reinstall now??

The link says I need IE6 or later.... which is my issue. Then when I run sfc
scannow it ask for the disk, which I donot have on hand right now.

Non of the options given worked. So I just did a system restore so I am back
to normal...... Thanks to all though!!!
