IE window size problem

Recently when I open Internet Explorer, the window opens in a 2"x2" box vs.
maximized. It also occurs when I click on a link that opens a new window. i
can't find anything in help to assist. How do I change this so IE opens
maximized each time w/o having to maximize it manually????

Drag the bottom left corner until it fills the screen, Hold down Ctrl, click
the red 'X' to close.
It should open fine next time.
