IE Very Slow

Hello,

Recently I have noticed the performance of IE on my XP Pro laptop go from
fast to very slow. I mean it would take very long before the browser would
open up for me to use it?

I have checked and there are no viruses or anything like that. Other
programs including OE open up very fast. Just for info I have more than
sufficient RAM as well (768).

Hi there, I too had the same problem when i bought my
dell laptop in Mar.2002. The internet would not load or
work...it litterally took 5 min to sign off once ( i had
to wait)...now , after installing aol8.0 it works better
but still not as good as my old windows 98 and very old
computer...your right this does not make sense and n
either dell or aol would admit to anything..hmmmm...there
is definitely something wrong here....let me know if you
find out... is your laptop a dell?....Dave

Hi Dave,

No mine is not a dell machine but Compaq

If this continues and if I dont find a solution I might have to go and start
using Netscape ... well test that out and see if there is a difference.
