IE v7 - Tabs Problem

Whenever I click a tab in IE7, it crashes my IE. The window just closes. It
does the same thing if I'm on a webpage and hit my Tab key. I've tried
reinstalling IE7 hoping it would repair the problem but it hasn't. I've
tried adjusting my settings as well, and it still does it.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

i'm not surprised to hear that because i had the same problem. I think that
the unistaller was intentionally removed by MS - but why the sabotage.

You can search for the unistaller manually in the windows folder. Remember
to set your folder options to show hidden/system files and search for
something like "beta" or "ie". The long file name will have a dollar sign in
front and you need to read the filename carefully to ensure it is the ie7
unistaller. When found click it to engage. You will be reverted back to ie6.

I like the Avant browser since it seems to better than ie7.

Thank you, I will certainly give this a try. I also recently installed Avant
and like it better than Firefox. I guess my old ie habits are just hard to
break. :]

I'm back. :] Did what you said. Found the long file you were referring to
with the $ but it is for v6. This is in my Windows directory. Also in my
Windows directory is a folder named ie7beta3. However there are no files
with $ in there. There is a folder within the ie7beta 3 folder called
spuninst. Inside that there is an uninstall.exe application but when I check
the properties on that, it's a Service Pack Uninstall app.

Any other suggestions? I think this v7 is now causing major screen freeze.
*grumble*

Thank you :]
