Hi, last week had 'about blank' take over my browser. Got rid of it (thanks to Denny). However I now have a page called Martfinder in its place. Everytime I run cw shredder it shows message - Internet Explorer: fixed 6 infected files. However fix only lasts until I do a search and the page reverts back to Martfinder.Infuriating. I have also tried downloading free ad ware from lavasoft several times but it goes on longer than an hour and logs itself off? Help!!!

After you run the removal tool are you restarting you computer immediately?
You should always reboot after cleaning spyware. And you might want to look
through this page http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm Jim Eshelman should have a
forum too that can be helpful

Mary,

CWS (about:blank) comes in many variants right now. Some can be removed with
CWShredder, others take a bit more work.

Try SWI Forums for help:

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
