IE Sp1 - Patch Install

Had Shavlik deploy latest patches on a newly built w2k server. Our stanard
build includes IE sp1 and patches Q81047 & Q813951 which did not appear to be
deployed by shavlik. But now when I manually try to deploy I get an error
message "SP1 needs to be installed before installing this patch" But SP1 is
installed. Is this patch included in a later cumulative patch? any other
reason I cant deploy?

Hi

Yes, those two updates (I assume you mean Q810847 and not Q81047)
are included in all the cumulative security updates released after
Q810847, and the error message you get indicates that a newer IE
update is already installed.

MS04-038/834707 (October 2004 Cumulative Security Update for IE)
supersedes (replaces) the following (and any earlier) cumulative
patches for IE:

867801 MS04-025: July 2004 Cumulative Security Update for IE
832894 MS04-004: February 2004 Cumulative Security Update for IE
824145 MS03-048: November 2003 Cumulative Security Update for IE
828750 MS03-040: October, 2003, Cumulative Patch for IE
822925 MS03-032: August 2003 Cumulative Patch for IE
818529 MS03-020: June, 2003, Cumulative Patch for IE
813489 MS03-015: April, 2003, Cumulative Patch for IE
810847 MS03-004: February, 2003, Cumulative Patch for IE
324929 MS02-068: December, 2002, Cumulative Patch for IE
328970 MS02-066: November, 2002, Cumulative Patch for IE
323759 MS02-047: August 22, 2002, Cumulative Patch for IE
321232 MS02-023: May 15, 2002, Cumulative Patch for IE
