IE Search Redirect - Help!

B

Brian

Up until a few weeks ago, if I typed in a URL and it was
not correct (mistyped, etc.) my IE would redirect to
www.msn.com automatically and MSN would suggest a
correction, etc.

Now my browser redirects to www.flashlight.com. I suspect
this is something that was picked up by visiting a web
site, but I don't not now how to remove this and have go
back to www.msn.com. Any suggestions???

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Brian,
Are you sure you don't mean: "flashlightsearch.com"?
As "flashlight.com" is a valid site, and NOT a hijacker.

"flashlightsearch.com" = Adware.MemoryMeter
