IE pops up automatically on startup

There is a sub menu in the Start menu called "Startup". This will list all
program that start automatically when you login to your machine. If there is
a shortcut for IE in this menu you can remove it.

up whenever I boot up my pc. I've tried installing applications such as
Adware & Spybot but none of these helped. Can someone pls advice me on wat
to do? Thanks.
 
Yes, i've checked tat but the problem stil persists. Any other reason why
