Dear Sirs
I do not really know if I am correct here but I would like to do the
following.

If I open for excample this Microsoft discussion group there is, in the
navigation bar, infront of
"http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...crosoft.public.frontpage.client&lang=en&cr=US" ,your logo .

I would like to do the same with my web site. How do I have to do that?

I believe what you are referring to is what is called a "Favorite Icon"
