IE keeps shutting down

Internet explorer keeps shutting down on me. I tried to
reinstall new version of IE hoping this would fix it but
it hasnt. Any help?? Also my computer will not let me
download any programs from cd. I was told it is an
installer issue. How do I fix this? I cant download
from the web either. HELP

Shar,i know this won't be of much help,but it sound as though you a
virus,there is one that causing the shut down of your pc.If you can stay on
the net long enough visit the windows website for advice.

Check to see if you have browser helpers installed.. BHODemon is very useful..

'course if that ain't it, I really recommend you get Opera browser or the
Mozilla one, Firebird I think it is called.. I only use Opera unless I have to
do an update, then I HAVE to use IE (thank you microsoft)...

Have you tried running AdAware or SpyBot? Sounds like a
spyware problem to me.

Firstly scan your system with latest virus definitioned
antivirus/adaware/spybot,search and destroy/CWShredder.Run them in safe
mode.

I have ad aware and mcafee viruscan. It only shuts down
when I go to certain web sites where you have to input
information such as airline reservation info.
