IE keeps closing on me? Please help!!!!

I'm having problems....everytime I'm online with my home computer internet explorer shuts down continuously. It keeps me giving me different errors and I'm just guessing but does anyone think this is from a virus. I'm pretty new to computers and I have no idea what to do.....I've been deleting recently added programs but that has not helped. PLEASE HELP!!!
