Hi,
Is it possible to save and copy all my websites that I have visited in the
history file to a floppy disc then delete the history on the pc? At a later
time I would like to put the history back onto the pc again and use the
history as it is now.
The reason for me wanting this is because I will have other people using my
pc temporarily and I don't particularly want them to see which web sites I
have been surfing. But after they stop using my pc I would like to be able
to surf my old websites again.
If it is possible, where is the file located and how do I go about doing it?
Thanks so much in advance.
Katie

Don't think this is possible, you'd be better off adding the ones you
like to favourites and saving that. If they're going to be using XP or
2K, can you create a new user account for them which would then not have
'your' history? You could use it to secure your files too.

Thanks for replying....
I did think about adding the websites to favourites, but to be honest my
history goes back nearly one year so it would take me forever to go through
it all and add them.
As for opening a new user account, I would like to be able to use my pc with
the other new users at the same time in my account, so I don't really want
to open a new user account. But thanks again for your reply.
Any other suggestions?

Sorry, I can't. But I really would consider doing separate accounts for
this, rather than just having one account; lots of advantages to doing
this I think.

Hmmmmm. And you had no problems yet? Better still how do you know which day
of the year is where you keep a certain link that you need to access In
IE\History

No I don't let any one else use this pc, so it hasn't been a problem yet. I
don't know where the shortcuts are kept... well I do, but they don't look
like the little shortcuts as they are seen in favourites or I could cut and
paste no problem.
It's that I need help with, failing that I might have to delete all my
history which I don't really want to do. Anything and everything else on my
pc I don't mind any one looking at, but just not my websurfing history.
