I am running windows xp. I need to know which folder i can go to and view all of the history of what web sites or addresses i have been to in recent pass. I need to find a site that i visted lately and do not remember where it was. I have seen this folder before in win 98 and 2000 but can't find it in xp. Thanks

By default the History Folder is hidden in XP. Go to Control Panel>Folder
Options>View and check Show Hidden Files and Folders. Then go to My
Computer>Documents and Settings>(Yourusername)>Local Settings>History.

when I look in the local settings folder/history - all there is is an index file that I can't open. Any suggestions on opening this file - Thx

winow,
You are not supposed to "read" that file (index.dat)
IE uses is to keep your browser history, Cookies, cache, etc.
