IE - error on page ? ( java scripts, I think )

Steve

Have been having this problem with one of our computers.
All others are fine, running IE 6 on win98 also. This
particular one gets an error on page when going to a
website which has a particular java script running. It
seems that somewhere along the way java or something on
this PC has become corrupt. Is there a way to check. Have
tried uninstalling IE then re-installing. Tried going
back to IE 5 which worked sometimes but not all. Any
ideas on how to check what is going wrong?
Thanks

If it's only occuring on one or two particular sites,
then there is probably nothing wrong on your end.
You're probably not getting them on your other
computers because you've got script debugging
disabled there. You may however notice a yellow warning sign
on the status bar, even on the other computers. If so, you
can be certain that it's an error on the code of the site, nothing
to do with your computer.

Hi,
Thanks. But that does not seem to be the problem. I have
the same settings on the other computers. Script
debugging is disabled. I have juts done a windows update
on it, and now it just locks up when I visit the website.
which by the way is www.northshorecity.govt.nz

The site works here.

Have you tried clearing cache and history, setting
IE security, privacy, and advanced settings to defaults,
then restarting IE and trying again? And disabling anti-virus
and trying again. Those are the things to try first.

What is the error exactly?

Steve,
Do you have a Pop-up blocker program on your PC's? If you do, then you will need to allow for these sites to come through.
